Reviews and Ratings

The Dierbergs planted this vineyard in the southern end of the Santa Maria Valley in 1997, a west-facing hillside of sandy loam soils. The chardonnay they grow on the estate developed complex fruit aromas in 2008, from nectarine to kumquat, with a tart acidity that keeps the flavors open and airy. As the wine develops in the glass, the oak seems to energize the fruit, focusing attention on its floral perfume rather than on wood notes. Intensely flavored, sunny and lasting, this will gain from several years in the cellar. Score: 93 Source: Wine and Spirits Magazine

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
