A full-bodied Spanish red wine from one of the country's most respected producers, Alvaro Palacios. Smooth and long with bright red berry, sous bois, tobacco leaf, savoury herb and smoky flavours on the palate. So good with grilled lamb chops in roasted garlic and rosemary.

Food pairings: roast beef, roast veal, hamburgers, venison.

Reviews and Ratings

Descendientes De J. Palacios Pétalos 2017 is a warm and robust 90% Mencía and Alicante Bouschet red wine blend from the Bierzo wine region. Savoury and spicy with dark cherry, anise, mocha and black olive flavours on the palate. Good acidity for food. Enjoy now and over the next three years. Pair with grilled lamb chops. - Community Wine Reviews
