Lots of acidity and fresh attack on this crisp South African white wine. Green apple and white grapefruit note in this Chardonnay would pair well with fresh seafood.

Chardonnay food pairings: scallops with a sesame ginger dressing, spinach and pepper jack stuffed chicken, pan-fried cod with lemon butter sauce, toasted ravioli served with Alfredo sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

This unwooded (unoaked) South African Chardonnay sources grapes from the cooler climate of the country's Robertson district, known for its fresh white wines. Cooler winds from the southeast that carry in moisture to the vineyards during the day along with fog in the morning, as well as cool nights keep the wines fresh and the acids high, but balanced. The soils here are limestone further adding to freshness and minerality in the wine. - Community Wine Reviews
