Charred black fruit and black currant and wild cassis aromas on the nose: well-structured and balanced, not flabby. Lots of acidity. Loaded with dark fruit depths and concentration of flavour. Smart use and integration of oak, with this wine having spent 18 months in barrel. This full-bodied red wine pairs well with lamb.

Shiraz food pairings: grilled radicchio, beef prosciutto & greens, black bean soup, blue cheese, lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

An incredibly richly flavoured Clare Valley Shiraz. Deeply coloured, the flavours are rich and complex with dark berries, stewed dark fruit, mocha, spice, and pepper with a gorgeous eucalyptus and menthol finish. A must try Shiraz. Tasted June 2016. 92 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Mint and blackberry aromas on the nose, with a laser-like focus and cleanness on the palate well-structured and balanced, not flabby. Loaded with fruit, tempered with good acidity and balanced throughout. Terrific. - Community Wine Reviews
