Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bright red fruit, strawberry gum drops, smokey forest and a distinct earthy mineral note. Flavours are juicy and l Celt. Bing cherry, ripe raspberry and tomato leaves. Dry (4g/L) Medium zingy acidity, body and high velvety tannins. This is a nice Grenache from Maclaren Vale. Pair with aubergine or pizza. 89 points - Feb 2018
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Fruit forward with notable flavors of plum, blueberry and blackberry and a hint of spiciness. Chewy tannins with a dark berry minty finish.
d'Arenberg's The Custodian (2013) is a juicy, Grenache-based red wine blend. Spicy, with ripe dark fruit, candied cherry on the palate, this wine would do well being the custodian of a gourmet burger topped with blue cheese. - Community Wine Reviews
