This rich, full-bodied red wine offers aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, pepper and cassis. Full-bodied with terrific structure and length. Paul Hobbs is one of the most respected winemakers in California, and has entered into several successful collaborations with other partners. Great cellar candidate. Decant 1-2 hours. Pair with prime rib

Cabernet food pairings: braised meats, herbed steaks, venison.

Reviews and Ratings

Paul Hobb's Crossbarn (2013) is a testament to his well-honed winemaking and winemaking experience. Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a splash of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, grapes for this wine were hand-harvested. Native yeasts were employed in primary fermentation and the total assemblage was aged 20 months in French and American oak barrels. Crossbarn 2013 is a great effort made by Paul Hobbs. The wine is full-bodied, big and beautiful. Decant and drink now, but can easily cellar for 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews
