Craggy Range, Gimblett Gravels Vineyard 2019 Syrah is a dry, medium-plus-bodied and zesty Hawke's Bay, New Zealand Syrah, brilliant purple colour in the glass and fragrant with smoky, spicy, red berry and cherry aromas; vibrant, rounded and elegantly long on the palate. Tannins are structured. Very approachable now or hold in cellar for 10 years. Pour with a roast rack of lamb. Drink or hold.

Syrah food pairings: veal chops, rack of lamb, duck confit.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
