From the Columbia Valley wine region, Cosentino Cigar 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant, smoky and vibrant Washington Cab Sauv., with black currant, blueberry, blackberry, dark chocolate, fine herbs and well-integrated oak spice flavours, all balanced with good acidity for food. Tannins are also long and juicy. pour with roast beef.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: gourmet burgers stuffed with blue cheese, grilled ribs, meat-lover's pizza, grilled sirloin steak, burgers and BBQ chicken wings, vegetable kebabs.

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A little toasty and smoky on the nose with noticeable alcohol. Ripe red fruit and dark fruit aromas, especially blackcurrant, weave through the barrel notes. Tannins have good grip, acidity is sufficient to keep the fruit in check, and the body is full, perhaps a smidgen too full. Oak spice on the palate and through the finish. A good Washington State Cab Sauv. Save this for steaks and beef roasts.
An elegant Cabernet Sauvignon from the Columbia Valley wine region in Washington, Consentino Cigar 2016 is a red wine blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with some Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot and Syrah added to the blend. Beautifully layered with fresh blackberry, caramel, smoky flavours on the palate, with toasted oak spice lingering on the finish. Tannins are smooth and silky. Very easy to enjoy. - Community Wine Reviews
