From Allegrini Corte Giara, La Groletta 2020 Amarone Della Valpolicella is an intense and spicy red wine blend of 70% Corvina Veronese and 30% in Merlot and Rondinella grapes. Look for ripe dark plum, savoury herb, pepper, anise, sweet dried tobacco leaf and cocoa flavours warming, rich and velvety on the palate. Nicely balanced with food-friendly acidity, enjoy it with a Bistecca alla Fiorentina or a meaty lasagne! The wine was aged for five months in stainless-steel tank, then in wood for 15 months (50% Slavonian oak casks, 50% in neutral oak barriques).

Amarone Della Valpolicella food pairings: Porchetta, well-marbled steaks from the grill, meat lover's pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

La Groletta 2020 Amarone Della Valpolicella is an intense and spicy red wine blend of 70% Corvina Veronese and 30% in Merlot and Rondinella grapes. Full-bodied, generous and waiting to pair with a Bistecca alla Fiorentina, the wine is smoky and rich with dark berry, cherry, dark plum, cured meats, toasty oak spice generous on the palate. Nice now, better in 2026 when it begins to come together and show its best. - Community Wine Reviews
