Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Leads with delicate lemon and citrus, followed up by gentle white floral, then finally soft baking spice and oak. Mild and pleasant texture, fresh acidity, extra dry, and medium-bodied. Potent finish carries on and on. A stellar Chardonnay that breaks the mold of Californian stereotypes to deliver a wine with with such grace and elegance that if tasted blind, I would have guessed Burgundy, or at least a cooler climate than California. An impressive white that will age and develop for two to four more years. Enjoy with steamed crab and butter, seared scallops, or freshly shucked oysters.
What a delightful name for a wine! Copain Les Voisins 2016 (translates to Buddy Neighbours) is a delightful, dry, full-bodied California Chardonnay with ripe red apple, lemon curd, vanilla and toasty nut flavours on the palate. Nice liquid lemon sunshine finish. Good now, but could easily cellar for another three years to show its sunny best. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
