Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is a deep ruby red, highly concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon cultivated at high elevation of 630-680 m above sea level in Chile's famous Maipo Valley from vines planted in 1982 in the Pirque Vineyard, from block Las Terrazas. 14.5% ABV and unfiltered, this wine is deep and structured offering exceptional Quality and value. Rich with aromatics of strawberry, cherry, mocha, cocoa, blackberry, and a hint of graphite and leather as well on the palate. Stretching broadly across your senses, this wine is designed to please and requires 2h minimum decanting to breathe before enjoyment. Well balanced and well integrated. This is a medium plus across the board on acidity, tannins, fruit intensity. Enjoy with grilled, stewed, braised meats, traditional fare, or own its own. Drinking exceptionally well now through 2022. Tasted Jan 2016.
This full-bodied Chilean Cabernet sourced fruit from the winery's Terrunyo Andes Pirque Vineyard, Las Terrazas Block. Cellar for a few years then decant 2 hours when opening. - Community Wine Reviews
