Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A great aperitif or digestif with a stunning bright, golden-orange colour, this Calvados has a pleasant, medium sweetness with fermented red apple notes. An alcohol level of 17.2 is way more evident on the nose than on the palate is not overwhelming to say the least. The caramelized apple, baked pear, roasted pumpkin, and clove notes are all well integrated and bring a pleasant feel to the mouth as you continue to sip.
Comte Louis De Lauriston Pommeau De Normandie is a softly sweet apple cider produced from fresh apple juice and a small amount of Calvados. According to Calvados appellation law Pommeau de Normandie must be aged for a minimum of 14 months in oak. This example is aged for three to four years in oak barrel. Nicely balanced, serve chilled with apple dumplings and pie, or in a champagne cocktail. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
