Cloudsley Twenty Mile Bench 2020 Chardonnay is produced from premium grapes from Foxcroft, Wingfield and Cuesta Vineyards, and the wine was aged up to 18 months in French oak barrels (28% new). Elegant and poised, the wine is dry, medium-bodied, fragrant and bright with ripe pear, yellow apple, citrus zest, toasty oak spice and butterscotch rich and creamy on the palate with a stony mineral finish. This winery was founded in 2015.

Chardonnay food pairings: lobster in butter sauce, grilled fish, chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Cloudsley is situated on the Twenty Mile Bench in Ontario’s Niagara region, where they produce some of the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir you'll taste. Their Twenty Mile Bench Chardonnay, happens to be their non-single vineyard offering, is absolutely delightful! Wow! So harmonious, flavourful, intriguing. Medium-full bodied with refreshing yellow apple, almond croissant, tropical fruit, and sweet banana chip flavours…oak influence adding some further aromatic, flavour, and textural complexity. It’s a love-at-first-sip wine you’ll fall in love with, well if you’re like me you will . Tasted October 2023. 93 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
