From Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Escarpment wine region, Cloudsley Cellars 2018 Pinot Noir is a cuvée of Pinot Noir grapes sourced from several sites on the bench: Hanck, Cuesta, Homestead, Glen Elgin, Parke, May and End of the Road vineyards. Fragrant with cherry compote, crushed raspberry, savoury herbs and spicy aromas, the wine is dry, medium-bodied and beautifully balanced with juicy acidity, silky smooth on the palate. Lovely now, lightly chill and pour with a grilled pork tenderloin.

Pinot Noir food pairings: rack of lamb, grilled bison burgers, veal Porterhouse, roast turkey, lamb chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Cloudsley Cellars 2018 Pinot Noir from the Twenty Mile Bench in the Niagara Escarpment wine region is an impressive Pinot crafted from grapes sourced from various vineyards along the Twenty Mile Bench. It offers a captivating array of aromas, including cherry compote, crushed raspberry, savory herbs, and very pleasant sweet spice. The wine is dry, medium-bodied, and exhibits a remarkable balance with its refreshing acidity. Silky smooth texture enhances the overall tasting experience. While it is enjoyable to drink now, there’s plenty of life left in this vibrant wine. Serve slightly chilled and pair with grilled pork tenderloin, spaghetti carbonara, or charcuterie. Cloudsley Cellars has crafted a wonderful Pinot Noir that showcases the best of the region's terroir and winemaking expertise. Tasted June 2023. 93 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
