Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Chocolate and ripe red pum aromas, with a touch of sweet red cherry and earthiness. The taste is black and red cherry, and the mouth-feel is full, with some rounded tannins. There a rich cherry, vanilla, and tannin finish. A nice wine for a spicy pork dish.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Mild red fruit aromas and smooth red berry fruit on the palate.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Red fruit on the nose with sweet black cherry and plum on the palate. The finish is very soft and smooth.
Kristin Perrin rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Herby red plum and cherry on the nose.
Medium plus bodied, soft plush tannins and low to moderate acidity.

A night cap solo or with some Beemster XO Gouda cheese.
Winemaker Erik Olsen uses small dollops of Cabernet Franc (10%), Cabernet Sauvignon (3%) and Malbec (2%) in the blend to give this Merlot more complexity, layers and structure. - Community Wine Reviews
