Richly layered and textured Argentine red wine with grapes sourced from seven premium vineyards, thus "Siete." Renowned consulting winemaker Michel Rolland manages the winery and oversees production. Aromas of blackberry, cassis, smoke and dark spice. Pair with sausages. A lovely dark garnet hue with violet tints in the glass. Dusty tannins with superb balance. Judicious and subtle integration of oak. Finishes with some eucalyptus aromas, and mocha hints. Pair with a juicy rib-eye steak

Food pairings: grilled lamb chops, liver and onions, pork sausages and grilled veggies.

Reviews and Ratings

Chris rated this wine as 94/100
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is glossy and fine-grained. Black cherries, black plum, macerated blackberry, scrub brush, camphor and hot stone. A touch of black truffle and semi-sweet chocolate on the finish. This has benefited from time in bottle. Pair with beef. 92 Points.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A Malbec blend with Merlot, Cab Sauv, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Opaque dark garnet with delicious aromas of Cab Sauv berry fruit and Malbec plum. Well-structured palate shows vegetal bell pepper and mint riding over the underlying berry flavours, followed by a delicious minty/mocha finish.

Clos de Los Siete (2013) is a great value 57% Malbec, 18% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Syrah and 2% Petit Verdot red wine blend from the Uco Valley. Wine grapes were sourced from several of Clos de Los Siete vineyards (hence "Siete") and was produced by iconic winemaker, Michel Rolland. Drinking great now. - Community Wine Reviews
