This Pinot is coming of age: complex and spicy. Cool-climate character shows through with those protective foggy mornings and afternoon sunshine bliss. The wine is aged for 7 months in 40% new medium toast French oak. Fleshy ripe and sweet cherry and field berries with some mocha from oak aging. Full-bodied and satin smooth. Pair with grilled chicken.

Pinot Noir food pairings: veal medallions, lamb in a red wine sauce, roasted pork loin, coq au vin, venison burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A sweeter California PN (even on the Californian spectrum) Lovely purity of cherry fruits from start to a lingering finish where subtle oak appears. Serve with lighter foods possessing some sweetness in the dish (honey glazed ham, pork tenderloin with apples).
This Californian red wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes that are sustainably farmed. A beautiful deep garnet red in the glass, warm strawberry coulee and sweet cherry and mocha on the nose. The wine is full-bodied, silky with good acidity on the palate. Cline sources the grapes for this Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir from an area known as the Petaluma Gap, a gap in the coastal mountain range which allows cooling breezes and fogs to enter the vineyards and keeping it cool with moderating temperature. This climate is so unique that the Petaluma Gap Winegrowers Association has begun the process to have the region designated as an official AVA. - Community Wine Reviews
