Love this Californian Zinfandel! Smells and tastes sweet in a juicy ripe fruit way, not cloying ... it is a dry wine. The grapes were picked super ripe for this supple, juicy red. I can't image a better wine for Hawaiian pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This smooth Zinfandel from central California tempts with cherry and strawberry on the nose. Flavours of vanilla, berry, cherry and spice linger on the palate. This would be great with red sauce meaty pasta dishes or burgers on the grill.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Cline Zinfandel vintage 2013 is a must try wine! The aromas of cherry, red fruit, vanilla and slight strawberry are great. On the palate it is smooth and has a beautiful long mouthfeel. (90/100) Tasted on November 16, 2014
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Nothing like a California Zin to get the juices flowing! Strawberry and spice and all things nice! It's like popping warm strawberries in your mouth on a hot summer day. It has an intense spicy finish that fills your mouth. Buy a few - drink one now and cellar - its only going to get better!
Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

With flavours of bramble, blueberry, strawberry, cinnamon and vanilla, this Zinfandel is lighter in body than most displaying elegance on the refreshing finish.
Pair with pulled pork, or charcuterie.
Drink now or cellar until 2018.
Date tasted: November 2014.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Nov 16, 2014: New label for this wine from Cline Cellars. Medium ruby, nose is jammy raspberry, floral and candied notes along with some peppery spice and vanilla. Sweet berry and vanilla dominate on the palate with toasty oak in the background. Medium acidity and very soft tannins. Commercial quality lacking some varietal characteristics - drink now.
Julia Kelada rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

On the nose a great serving of red fruits, cherries, raspberries and black berries with a buttery caramel end.
On the palate there are red cherries, raspberries and cranberries with a plum note that presents itself the more the wine opens up. Toasted almonds step forward before presenting velvety tannins with a good length. This dry, fruity wine would be perfect to have with a dessert of poached pears in Marsala with a blue stilton cheese.

Bottoms up!
