Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This Carignane needed a bit of time to offer up its charms. Black cherry defined the nose then some mint and eucalyptus notes floated up as well. The black cherry carried over to the palate displaying a bit of a medicinal tone there. Medium bodied and textured with good acidity and a medium plus finish. This needs another year or so to evolve. It will be best enjoyed with duck or lamb. Tasted April 2022 thewineloverskitchen.com
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Ancient Vines 2019, a high acidity Carignan made by Cline, exposes aromas of dried cranberry, 5-spice powder and licorice. Chewy tannins and abundant acidity, providing a mouthful of tart blackberry, tart cherry, spice and cured meat. Enjoy.

Tasted at Emerging California Master-Class April 2022

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
