Clayhouse 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is excellent value at $20. Clayhouse is certified by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance and the winery is 90% solar powered. Grapes for this vintage were sourced from the Red Cedar Vineyard and the wine was aged in French and American barrels for up to 12 months. Look for ripe dark fruits, smoky vanilla, savoury herbs, roasted coffee and toasty oak spice flavours framed by fine-grained tannins.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: veal chops, rosemary lamb, barbecued ribs in sauce, strong cheese.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
