Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Clarence Dillon purchased this estate in 1935, and since then it has been a family owned winery. This beautiful white Boredaux is a fine blend of three traditional Bordeaux white grapes; Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. It is medium-bodied, fruity yet dry, with noticeable poached pear, roasted yellow apple, and walnuts notes; it finishes with a slight olive pit bitterness. It’s great with goat cheese ravioli, simple pasta with olive oil and vegetables, and sashimi. A very good value for money for drinking now.
Clarence Dillon Clarendelle 2016 is a medium-bodied fruity white Bordeaux blend of 47% Sémillon, 42% Sauvignon Blanc and 11% Muscadelle. Clarence Dillon purchased the estate in 1935 and the estate has been family-owned and operated ever since. This winery is overseen by Clarence Dillon's great-grandson, Prince Robert de Luxembourg and his team that produces the Haut-Brion and Mission Haut-Brion wines. Their 2016 vintage was an outstanding vintage with a fresh floral and citrus nose and medium-bodied with light orange citrus, ripe apple and pear flavours on the palate. Chill and enjoy now on its own or pair with smoked salmon and cream cheese on baguette. - Community Wine Reviews
