Love the funky label on Chronic Cellars Purple Paradise 2020, 70% Zinfandel, 16% Petite Sirah, 10% Syrah and 4% Grenache red wine blend that simply overdelivers for the price. Dry, fruity an full-bodied, this Paso Robles red is rich on the nose and palate with blackberry compote, cherry, mocha and dried herbs with a long and vibrant finish. The wine was aged eight months in 90% French and 10% American oak barrels (35% new). Enjoy with a meat-lover's pizza or Carne Asada.

Food pairings: BBQ ribs, pork roast, tourtiere, bison burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Purple in colour with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, fig and dark chocolate. It is full bodied with well balanced tannins and acidity. On the palate get flavours of stewed blackberries and spice. This will pair well with grilled red meats or roast pork. Tasted on February 26, 2023.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
