Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Highly floral red leading with violet, and backed up by fresh raspberries. Beyond those two dominant notes there are aromas of red currant, blackberry, coffee, oak, tobacco, and smoke. Soft tannins, integrated acidity, and a medium-plus body of 13.8% ABV. As pretty as it is accessible and easy to drink. Match with beef, lamb, or pork, or if you're feeling adventurous, this could pull off a seared salmon pairing.
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A Bonarda varietal from Mendoza, Argentina, this wine has floral and dark berry aromas leading to a light palate of red berries. The oak is evident here. Well-balanced with medium acidity and tannins, and a dark berry, chocolate finish. Drink now with some decanting. Serve with roast beef or lamb. Tasted February 2020.
The Bonarda wine grapes for Chayee Bourras Reserva 2015 are sourced from 50-plus year old vines with the potential to deliver more fruit intensity and complexity. Dark plum, blueberry, mulberry, mocha and toasty spice flavours matched by vibrant food-friendly acidity. Enjoy with a juicy roast shoulder of pork. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
