Lime and lemon essence on the nose. Extremely crisp, refreshing and clean on the palate with marvellous mouth-watering acidity for a wide range of dishes from seafood to salads. Finishes with dried herbs, more green citrus and a long core of minerality. As fresh as a mountain spring sourced deep inside the cavernous soils. Try it with vegetarian dishes.

Pouilly-Fumé food pairings: steamed prawn in garlic and lemon sauce, king crab in lemon butter, steamed mussels.

Reviews and Ratings

Chatelain Les Charmes Pouilly-Fumé is aromatic with grapefruit, lime and elderflower, flint and smoke. Acidity is mouth-watering, but is a complement to the grapefruit, lime and minerality long length on the palate. Palest of lemon-green, this is a medium-bodied wine that can handle salad to seafood. -- Community Wine Reviews.
