Château Suduiraut 2013 Premier Grand Cru Classé Sauternes is rich, creamy and sweet with a balance of mouth-watering acidity. This dessert wine is full-bodied and opulent with candied orange, quince, Mirabelle plum jam, hazelnut and mineral notes with a long and brilliant finish. During the reign of Henri IV, Suduiraut was a fortified castle and called "cru du Roy". The castle burned down and was rebuilt in 1670 by Count Blaise de Suduiraut. The vineyard, 92 hectares of sandy and gravelly soils, was also rebuilt in the 17th century.

Sauternes food pairings: lemon tarte, fresh fruit cup, apricot tarte.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
