Reviews and Ratings

Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Cherry, red licorice, coffee, tobacco, cassis and spice notes on the nose and palate. A lingering finish has soft tannins. Would go perfect with blue cheese.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This wine falls a hair short of 90 Points. However, it's almost Crozes-Hermitage-like characteristics are a very welcome change from some of the overly extracted Syrahs I have tasted recently from the Pacific Northwest. This wine shows lots of currant, black raspberry, hung meat, Kenya AA Coffee, singed herbs and black olive pit. Pour multiple quantities while serving mixed grill, steak pie, or honey bbq chicken wings. 89 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Olives, spice and dark fruit on the nose with delicious flavors of blackberry, blueberry, currant, and coffee and a subtle spiciness. Luscious mouthfeel.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lots of fruit on this Syrah, mainly raspberry jam, currant and cherry. Dry on the palate, full bodied, smooth, and easy drinking. Finish is medium to long. Try this with pork ribs, or anything on the grill.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This Syrah is soft and frity with kirsch, jammy black fruit, and baking spice persisting on a long and sweet finish. Enjoy with the tangiest ribs you can find. The more BBQ sauce the better as this wine can hold up to the smokiest of sauces. Enjoy 2016-2020. Tasted June 2016. 88 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Delicate old world characteristics with a scrumptious mouthfeel. Dominant aromas and flavours are pronounced with developing notes of ripe plum, violets, black tea and spice. Enjoy this dry, balanced and well-rounded red wine with roasted rack of lamb. Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
