Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with some Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Cinq Cépages 2014 is full-bodied and layered with ripe blackberries, dried garrigue herbs, dark chocolate and savoury spice flavours on the palate. Enjoy now with a grilled steak.

Food pairings: wild boar roast, grilled venison steak, roast pheasant.

Reviews and Ratings

The Cinq Cépages for this lush and layered, medium-plus-bodied red from Chateau St. Jean is 77% Cabernet Sauvignon 9% Cabernet Franc, 8% Merlot, 3% each Malbec and Petit Verdot wine grapes from Moon Mountain, Knights, Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys in California. On the nose, the wine has ripe black currant, violets, sweet and spicy tobacco leaf aromas. On the palate, this is a lush, dry and luxurious blend with ripe black raspberries, dark chocolate, baking spice and vanilla flavours on the palate. Finishes smooth and long with velvety tannins. Very approachable now, but also a good cellar candidate for three more years. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
