While this is an off-dry wine, the lovely acidity makes it seem much drier and more savoury. Love this expression of the Chenin Blanc grape: so different with lemon zest and Asian pear aromas. Perfect for such a wide range of dishes. Get out of your chardonnay rut with this wine.

Vouvray food pairings: roast chicken, fresh seafood.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

If you enjoy spicy food then this is your wine! Med-dry with med+ acidity that helps refresh the palate. Light bodied with aroma characteristics of apple, citrus, floral, honey, mango and some minerality.
The palate offers some less youthful flavours of oxidized apple, red apple, nuttiness, honey and lychee. a very nice Chenin Blanc.
Drink now well chilled.
Pair with Asian cuisine, butter chicken or cream sauce dishes.

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Chenin Blanc grapes lend medium-body and mouth watering freshness with flavours of peach, pear, mango, honey, oxidized apple, and lemon rind over a chalky minerality.
Drink now, keep until 2015.
Enjoy on its own, or pair with butter chicken, pad Thai, and cream soups.
Date tasted: April 2014
The chenin blanc grapes for this wine were grown on the sun-baked, limestone north bank of the Loire Valley. Source: Winery
