A full-bodied, balanced and elegant Bordeaux red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from the classic Left Bank region of Margaux. Aromas of dark berries and toasty oak. A long, satisfying finish. Pair with rare filet mignon.

Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A powerful, dynamic, and expressive nose ranging from dark fruits, cassis, blackcurrant, and black cherry, to oak, with sweet burnt vanilla, campfire smoke, and clove, to a little terroir and personality, such as pencil shavings, graphite, and wet slate. Maintains acidity through the hot vintage with bold but fine-grained tannins and a medium-plus body. So elegant and balanced with a long finish, tannins gripping gently, mouth watering, and a long, evolving finish. Simply stellar. Pair with a simple beef roast and allow the wine to be the star of the show.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A medium bodied Bordeaux blend showing dark fruit, cherry and a hint of oak on the nose - the palate is fruit forward showing tart cherry, raspberry, cloves and a subtle earthiness with well integrated tannins, a balanced acidity and long finish. Tasted October 2017
Château Marquis De Mons is the second wine of Château La Tour de Mons from Margaux with a red wine blend of 45% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot. The vineyard is certified sustainable farming. Wine grapes were hand-harvested and the wine was matured 12 months in French oak barrels. On the nose, ripe cherries and blackberries with sweet spice notes. Well balanced, elegant with supple tannins. Drink now by the fire and reflect on just how good this wine is. - Community Wine Reviews
