Domaines Fabre Terrific wine and a great value for A.C. Bordeaux. Aromas of mocha and dark chocolate on the nose from oak aging following by a superb balance on the palate between dark fruit, smoke, acidity and structure. Gorgeously rich fleshy black plums and dark fruit. Classic. Decant 1 hour. Try it with rosemary lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Begaud rated this wine as 99/100 with the following review:

Great wine and great value for 2009 vintage. Well balanced, pure fresh fruit with mild spices intermixed, good body, good length. Well made to drink now. I think good potential for the next 5 years.
Loved it with sirloin steak.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This red blend is predominantly Cab Sauv, with Merlot and Petit Verdot. It is an opaque, dark garnet red with aromas of blackberries, earth and stewed fruit. The palate shows dark berries and stewed fruit, oak tea and earth elements. The wine has a beautiful tannic structure with well-integrated fruit and oak elements and velvety mouthfeel. It was aged in oak for 12 mos.
The 2009 vintage of Bordeaux is unjustly overshadowed by 2010: here's a smart buy for a tradition Cabernet Sauvignon blend. - Community Wine Reviews
