From Canon Fronsac, Château Lafond 2016 is the second wine of Chateau Mazeris. An excellent value Bordeaux at $22, Château Lafond is dry, medium-plus-bodied and a red wine blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. The 2016 is maturing nicely and is richly layered with dark berry, plum, mocha, well-integrated oak spice flavours fresh on the palate. Tannins are structured. Château Mazeris is a 350-year-old wine estate producing right bank-styled Merlot.

Food pairings: steak frites, lamb burgers, pork roast.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
