Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A beautiful nose of warm cedar greets you and then it offers up a hint of meat and warm hay. This is an elegant wine, beautifully balanced with a mild earthiness on the palate. Tannins are mature and fine. A long lingering finish to enjoy. This deserves Chateaubriand or Beef Wellington. Tasted June 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Typical Left Bank blend with 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. 2015 is considered a good vintage for Bordeaux, and this ripe and elegant blend reflects it. Plenty of blackcurrant and black cherry, floral with balanced oak, smoke, cedar, and tobacco. Tannins are soft with a firm and long grip. Good acidity rounds up this attractive package with balance and freshness. Can drink now with a generous decant, and enjoy to at least 2025 with beef, lamb, or dark chocolate.
From Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux wine region, Château Laffitte Carcasset 2015 is a flavoursome Cru Bourgeois red wine blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Ripe dark fruits and underbrush aromas on the nose and so juicy with ripe dark berries, cherries, plum and rich on the palate with a lingering mocha, cake and oak spice finish. Good now, great in a couple more years. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
