Natalie's Score: 90/100

The 2010 was a strong one and it shows in the balance and depth of this wine. A full-bodied Bordeaux red wine from the Right Bank region of Saint Émilion. It leads with Merlot on the blend with Cabernet. Aromas of dark red plums and black berries. Good structure. Would benefit from 3 more years in the cellar.

Food pairings: veal medallions, roasted pork loin, prime rib, coq au vin.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This St-Emilion Bordeaux has juicy aromas of blackberries and black plums with a touch of earthiness, autumn leaves, and cinnamon. The palate is more on the red berry spectrum. It has good acidity, medium tannins, and a long finish.

Tasted November 2017
Château La Fleur Pourret 2010 is a Grand Cru, Right Bank Bordeaux from the Saint-Émilion wine region. This full-bodied, dry red wine blend of 54% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon has ripe dark plum, blackberry, mint and cake spices on the palate and finishes long with earthy dark cocoa. Enjoy now and for the next five years. Pair with a boeuf bourgignon. - Community Wine Reviews
