Château La Caminade is a robust deep, dark red wine blend of Malbec and Merlot from Cahors. Fragrant Sous bois with brambleberry, wild herbs and smoky aromas on the nose. Dry, earthy, smoky dark berries, leather, ripe black plum and dried wild herbs on the palate. Powerful but broody and tannins are firm. Give it a few more years in cellar. Pair with big game dishes like venison roasts and boar stew.

Malbec Merlot food pairings: beef stew, hard cheese, roast duck.

Reviews and Ratings

Produced by Resses & Fils, Château La Caminade 2018 is a robust and juicy red wine blend of 70% Malbec, 25% Merlot and 5% Tannat from the Cahors wine region. Look for smoked meat, leather, ripe black fruit, dark cherry, sous bois and dried wild herb flavours on the toothsome red. Tannins are firm. Pair with a grilled Tomahawk steak. This vintage was awarded Gold at the 2019 Concours Mondial des Féminalise Paris. - Community Wine Reviews
