Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This wine is generous and sweetly fruited, featuring linzer, creme de cassis, crushed violets, herbs, earth, plum skin and a hint of tobacco. There is also some minerality here. 92 points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This wine smells amazing. It’s the type of wine I could smell for hours: rich black cherry, raspberry, plum, violets, leather and cedar. What a treat for the palate! Moderate dark fruit in this full-bodied red with well-integrated tannins. Perfect for winter stews or meats off the grill.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep purple with aromas of stewed raspberry, strawberry, and plums, with a distinct earthy character. Medium acidity and medium-high fine, rounded tannins. Great balance and structure. Pair with steak.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A richly fragrant blend of Merlot, Cab Franc and Cab Sauv from France's Fronsac region. Ripe cassis and strawberries with touches of dried herbs and oak in a mouth-watering, smooth palate. Great gift wine.
Tasted Nov. 2016
Cora Beaulieu rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Garnet red in color, this wine has lovely aromas of dark cherry, plum and soft oak. Velvety and medium dry finish on the palate, tastes of heavenly plum, ripe black and red fruits. Good lengthy finish of mocha/cocoa. Great paired with a selection of nutty hard cheeses.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lovely deep garnet coloured. Nose of dark cherry, plums and sweet spice. Dark fruit, spice and oaky notes on the palate. Big, but well integrated tannins. Pair with carmelized ribs or steak fajitas.
A full-bodied Bordeaux red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from a strong vintage. Lots of oak, smoke and black fruit. - Community Wine Reviews
