Natalie's Score: 88/100

Fleshy, black fruit aromas on this red wine from a great vintage. This is classic, with full-bodied weight and smooth texture. Some smoke on the finish. Lots of toasty oak and smoke and a big tannic grip on the palate, but it weaves beautify through the fruit and structure. Most excellent price for Bordeaux.

Food pairings: cabbage rolls stuffed with beef rice and pimento, hamburger steak with wild mushroom and red wine sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A Bordeaux blend(CS & Merlot) with aromas of ripe red berries and a hint of vanilla, followed by a palate giving strawberries, blueberries, vanilla, vegetal touches, mint and slight mocha. Extra-dry with good structure and an elegant finish.
Tasted April 2016
Firm tannins in this Bordeaux red wine with lots of acidity. This is a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 55% Merlot grapes. The vineyards are planted on 68 hectares in the heart of the Graves region, the oldest wine producing region in Bordeaux. Gravel soils with a chalky sub-soil allow for expression of each grape. - Community Wine Review
