Reviews and Ratings

Maxwell rated this wine as 91/100
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted Nov. 12, 2017. Colour dark red plum colour. Legs medium minus easy on the alcohol. Aromas and flavours, plum!, cedar, cloves, violets. Taste, dry, mouthwatering, fruity, soft tannin. Finish medium mouthwatering finish with fruit. I like this wine, it has a soft but rich flavour to it, easy to drink, I had a classic beef stew while enjoying this wine with my lunch. Good value. Highly recommend.
Château Haut Mazieres (2014) from proprietor, Christian Vazelle, is a red wine blend of 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. After fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel the young wine aged briefly in French oak barrel before bottling. This is an easy-drinking wine with rich plum, sweet spice and vanilla on the nose and palate. - Community Wine Reviews

"Beautiful damson and vanilla on the nose, with hints of clove and violets, the palate is equally complex and satisfying, with loads of jammy cassis and plum fruit, superb wine, has everything and all in harmony."

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
