Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From Castillon Cotes De Bordeaux, France, this elegant Organic red is a blend of Merlot and Cab Franc. Shows excellent structure, ripe dark berry flavours and polished tannins. Soft aromas of blackberry and vanilla carry through a balanced palate. A sure pleaser with your next roast pork. Highly recommended and great value.

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A few kilometers from Saint-Emilion, Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux produces well made wine and have a rich winemaking skill. Chateau Fongaban is one of the oldest and well regarded in the Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux area. This 2015 organic wine is crafted from 82% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc, revealing aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, fresh cut grass, brown sugar, cinnamon and cedar. Chateau Fongaban 2015 has 14.5% alcohol, which is quite high for a Bordolais. Nonetheless, the wine shows great balance that softens the warmth of the alcohol. This well-made wine will please the palate with tastes of blackberry, dark cherry, tobacco, caramel, pepper and cedar. Enjoy!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
