Produced by the house of Louis Jadot, this is a robust and full-bodied Beaujolais with richness and depth. Aromas of baking spices, tart black cherry and a little smoke. The 2013 Chateau des Jacques Moulin-a-Vent Clos de Rochegres has a small violet lift through the mid-palate. Smooth and medium- to almost full-bodied with polished tannins.

Food pairings: cedar-planked salmon, charcuterie, grilled chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

This French red wine is created by Louis Jadot, and is a deep ruby-violet hue in the glass. The Chateau des Jacques 2013 Moulin-a-Vent Clos de Rochegres borders on intense for Beaujolais. Its sister wine Grand Carquelin is much more floral and aromatic. The vines for this wine are planted in soils that have a lot quartzite and at a high elevation. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
