Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Wild cherry and purple plum skin with wild game, fresh herbs and violets. 90 points (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Moulin a Vent is a red Beaujolais Crus. The grape used in this wine is called Gamay Noir. " Gamay Noir is a purple grape," which is turned into "a light-bodied red wine that is similar in taste to Pinot Noir with flavours of cherry, raspberry, violet, black current and notes of potting soil."
I tasted this wine on March18th 2017. Nice light red colour. On the nose there is some nice fresh cherry and violets. The palate has more fresh tart red and black berry fruit. Finishes with lingering tart berry mouth feel. I paired the wine with Turkey Meat Loaf.
Drink now. Good value. I would buy this wine again. It has old world charm. Learn more by visiting the wine site on the web google Chateau Gimarets France, Moulin a Vent.
Château Des Gimarets Moulin À Vent (2013) from the Beaujolais wine region is aromatic with ripe black fruit, spice and brewed tea notes. The Moulin à Vent appellation is one of the best crus in Beaujolais. Drink now. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
