Natalie's Score: 89/100

A full-bodied tasty southern French red wine blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan grapes. Great wines for parties as it's a palate pleaser at a nice price. The vines are panted very warm, arid conditions which makes them struggle for nutrients and water and thus results in deeply concentrated, flavourful wines. Pair with grilled meats.

Syrah Carignan Grenache food pairings: barbecued chicken.

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medaille D'Or 2013 Brussels. Great value at $17. This wine has a nose that I want to bite into. Oxymoron? Yes. Fresh red fruit, cherry tarts, vanilla, toast, cedar, pepper. Repeated on the palate with a good warm spice finish. This is an approachable wine that will please at any dinner party. BBQ ribs, roasted poultry, warm chicken with cranberries and goat cheese salad. Points for good behaviour. ;)
