From Héritiers de Lambert, Château De Sales 2021 is a dry, medium-plus-bodied and refined red Bordeaux blend of 83% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. The wine is rich, powerful and brilliant with dark berry, plum, black currant and crushed black raspberry flavours fresh on the palate. Tannins are fine and the wine is just beginning to come into its own. Drink or cellar from 2024 thru to 2034. From one of the largest family-owned properties in Pomerol with over five centuries in winemaking. Direct descendants of the Sauvanelles, the Lambert heirs and their children are the current owners of Château de Sales.

Food pairings: prime rib, crown roast of pork, rack of lamb.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
