Natalie's Score: 89/100

Lovely red floral, red berry nose on this bargain-priced Bordeaux. This is a traditional blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. Satin liquid and medium-bodied on the palate. Decant 1 hour. Incredibly great value and quality. Long finish that's perfect with a variety of chicken and pork dishes. Decant 1-2 hours to soften the tannins. Stock up.

Food pairings: roast pork tenderloin, chicken, meat topped pizza, cheese fondue, fajitas.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby red, the nose shows smoky notes, black berry, and a touch of BBQ sauce. Well balanced, with great acidity and tannin struture, this would complement a gourmet burger this summer, served slighly chilled in the summer sun. Enjoy! Tasted May 2015. 90 points. Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Alex: A very classic, pure style of Bordeaux, savoury and brash with no noticeable wood. A nose of woodsy blackcurrants, bell pepper and tobacco leaf, full-bodied palate, and really fleshes out on day 2. Unapologetic, grippy tannin, quite zesty acidity, and a herbal-spicy mid-palate of fair depth, made for a big, charred steak. But to me, it's lovely on its own as well, if you can appreciate its ruggedness. 89 pts
Produced by D.W.L France, Proprietor, this Bordeaux red wine is a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot grapes. Pair with red meats and hard cheeses. Chewy tannins on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews
