From the Lirac, Rhône wine region, Château de Montfaucon 2019 is a dry, full-bodied 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Cinsault red wine blend sourced from vines grown in old terraces made up of rocky soils and pebbles. Look for spiced dark cherry, plum, lavender and dusty, grippy tannins on this elegant and generous red from the Southern Rhône Valley. The history of Château de Montfaucon dates back to the 11th century when the castle's first tower was built. The castle's role in history was strategic; the Rhône River was the border between the French Kingdom and the Holy Roman German Empire.
