Wow, this is terrific for Bordeaux at this price from a strong vintage! Aromas of blackberry and cassis with some toasty oak. Decant 1 hour and pair with a juicy rare steak.

Food pairings: lamburgers, gourmet hamburgers, roasted root vegetables.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

70 % Merlot, 30% Cab Sauv- Shows red jammy aromas with cassis and slight mint. Palate gives cassis, mint, raspberries, slight milk chocolate and toast. XD with slight mocha on finish.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This wine is the real deal for a true "claret" fan. Not overwhelming, but perfect for food. We tend to want the blockbuster wines when it comes to Bordeaux, but we forget about all of the small producers from satellite appellations that are just meant to be consumed and not fussed over. From the very strong 2010 vintage, this wine features cherry, linzer torte, plum, graphite and smokey notes. 89 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)

Pawel Cebo rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

Not bad!
Wow, what a great price for this terrific 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon red Bordeaux blend from Château De Marsan. The 2010 is a strong vintage with aromas of blackberry and cassis with some toasty oak. Decant 1 hour and pair with a juicy rare steak. - Community Wine Reviews
