Natalie's Score: 90/100

Loads of toasty oak, mocha and espresso on the nose and palate of this robust Bordeaux red wine from generous oak aging. This winery is on the left side of the Gironde River, 40 kilometres south of the city of Bordeaux. It's housed in a medieval castle built in 1306 and there 100 hectares of land, of which 65 hectares with vines under the appellation of Graves. Merlot lends roundness in tis blend while Cabernet gives structure. Aromas of black currant and tart blackberry with dark spices. Decant 1-2 hours and pair with a rare steak.

Food pairings: prime rib roast, vegetarian lasagne beef rouladen.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of dark berries, espresso, black licorice and sweet spice. Flavours of blackberries, blackcurrant, and espresso. The tannins are velvety smooth and well integrated with the fresh acidity.

Tasted November 2017
Château De Landiras (2014) is a classic, rich Bordeaux wine blend of 65% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. Lots of cassis, dark cherries and liquorice on the nose and more so on the palate. The wine is balanced and tannins are silky soft. Drink now. - Community Wine Reviews
