A full-bodied Bordeaux red wine blend of Cabernet and Merlot with aromas of toasty oak and dark fruit. The alcohol is high, but the wine doesn't taste hot. Finishes with cedar smoke, dried herbs and tart blackberries. Decant 1 hour and pair with a rare steak.

Food pairings: barbeque venison ribs, roast partridge in bannock, roast leg of lamb.

Wineboy rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

I should have taken better notes..... I noted herbacious nose and starting to smooth. A slightly elevated level of alcohol resulting in a touch of warmth. Something about the finish and the level of dryness wasn't clear from my notes. It was either extremely dry or not dry enough. I know this doesn't help you much.... but at least my integrity is intact.... 87 pts.!!
Château Clos Du Loup Cuvée Prestige 2010 is a medium-bodied Bordeaux blend from Blaye Côtes De Bordeaux. Produced by Winemaker and owner, Jean-Pierre Bouillac, this is a weighty red on the mid-palate with black currant, ripe dark berries, mint, cedar spice and savoury herbs on the palate. Tannins are still quite firm. Enjoy now with a sautéed pork tenderloin and black raspberry compote red wine sauce. - Community Wine Reviews
