Rustic, full-bodied with charred black fruit, oak and smoke. Bargain Bordeaux at this price. Black fruit, smoke with full-body. Short finish: for immediate pleasure. Finishes with violets, dried tobacco and anise. Pair with a pepper steak.

Food pairings: veal chops in creamy white wine sauce, veal schnitzel, Osso Buco, veal liver and olives in rose sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Extra-dry and full-bodied from St. Emilion, Bordeaux A.C. Shows a nose of ripe red fruit, oak, subtle spice, earth, then a delicious palate with ripe red fruit, vanilla, spice, mocha, and toasted oak. Silky smooth, elegant finish, great value.
Tasted April 2016
Black on black in this Bordeaux: fruit and oak. This is mostly Merlot in the blend with Cabernet Sauvignon. - Community Wine Review

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
