Reviews and Ratings

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A fairly rustic Bordeaux Blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, even though it's already 5 years old.

On the nose; sour cherry, smoke and dark fruit. It brought back memories of the days I had horses and there was that smell of a new leather saddle!!

Tannins are still a bit grippy. Medium weight with dark fruit and earthy flavours

A nice Bordeaux for the price point that I think might even improve with another year or two in the bottle. Tasted October 24, 2017.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Right bank Bordeaux blend. Predominately Merlot (63%) with Cab Sauv (33%) and a hint of Cabernet Franc (5%). Red apple, dark skinned plum, cherry. Smoke, spice, coffee, tobacco and dried fruit. Flavours of chocolate and prune also compliment the velvety texture. Dry. Medium plus acidity and tannin levels. Medium finish. Delicious, rustic and well defined. Perfect for sausages, even barbecued fare or robust cheeses. 88 points
The bottle at the LCBO tasting may have been corked. If not, this vintage is not showing well for this wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
