This Californian sparkling wine is made using the Méthode Traditionnelle, the same method of a second fermentation in the bottle as in Champagne, which isn't surprising given it's owned by the coveted Champagne house Moet & Chandon. It's a beautiful rose bubbly, especially for this price, offering attractive notes of fresh field strawberries and wild flowers. Crisp, toasty and refreshing. Pair with classy events.

Rosé Sparkling Wine food pairings: duck breast with celeriac purée, scallops with a sesame ginger dressing, lamb Bolognese.

Reviews and Ratings

This Californian rose sparkling wine is produced in small quantities and made using the same traditional method as in Champagne. Domaine Chandon was founded 42 years ago by the French producer Moet & Chandon, famous for Dom Perignon. The blend in this bubbly is Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, again just like in Champagne, and the wine spends a year resting on its lees to add richness and complexity and creamy texture. - Community Wine Reviews
